I Don't Want You to be Happy
I got your attention didn't I? Do I care about your happiness? Sure.
Do I want you to be happy above all else? Certainly not.
I want you to know the truth.
I don't want you to make choices based on feelings.
I want you to evaluate what's real.
I don't want you to live in fear.
I want you to know the truth.
I don't want you to get caught up in finding your purpose.
I want you to know that you are meaningful wherever you are.
I want you to know that your timing is not perfect.
I want you to know that you are forgiven.
I don't want you to live in shame.
I want you to know that healing is possible.
I want you to know that talking it out is more helpful than hurtful.
I want you to know that you're going to fail.
I want you to know your control is an illusion.
I don't want you to live in loneliness.
I want you to know that you are never alone.
I want you to know that you are loved.
Above all, I want you to know the greatest love of all.
If I could only give you ONE thing it would not be for happiness but I would want you to know that you are loved tremendously, unconditionally, without hesitation, regardless of your mistakes, with or without your love in return. I just want you to know the love of Christ. In turn you will be happy. But do I desire your happiness above spending a sorrowless and painless eternity with the King of the World? I absolutely do not. Why? Because I love you. And if the love I express toward you is truly genuine then I would want you to experience life abundantly.
